The awards will be judged by a panel of industry leaders and experts in a rigorous two stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide winners.
Dawn Anderson is a digital marketing lecturer and researcher at Manchester Metropolitan University, international conference speaker and has an international SEO consultancy, Move It Marketing. She has been in SEO for 10+ years and works with leading brands providing digital marketing strategy across a number of sectors including travel, gaming, legal, insurance and food and nutrition. She is also a UK Search Awards Judge.
Tom Armenante is the Ecommerce Manager for the high-end fashion brands Wolsey, Nicole Farhi and BLK DNM and is charged with maintaining the sites and driving online revenue for the brands.
Previously Tom was the Head of SEO at Matalan, where he was responsible for organic growth and working with the internal teams in driving e-commerce performance. During his time at Matalan he oversaw the successful backend migration onto the Shift Ecommerce platform.
Prior to Tom’s role at Matalan he worked at the award-winning SEO Agency, Branded3 where he helped to formulate the search strategy for some of the UKs largest brands. Tom’s experience spans a variety of sectors including outdoor fitness, home renovation and financial comparison.
In his spare time he likes to put his knowledge to good use and is focussed on continuing the successful growth of his niche e-commerce site Gocableties.
Liliana is a Digital Business Management Consultant and, through her own consultancy company recently delivered work for Google (Paris Office), Michelin, Eurocamp, United Utilities and NIVEA (Germany). She is currently engaged by Optident – part of Henry Schein to define and deliver a number of digital projects for the group.
Ashton offers the Northern Digital Awards judging panel her extensive experience working in the global Digital Business and Marketing Industries for over 15 years gleaned from senior international roles at Amaze PLC, Blast Radius, Guardian Media Group and her own company, LA UK Consulting Ld.
Liliana's academic qualifications include certifications from Harvard Business School and Oxford Business School. Qualifications in International Business and Marketing, an Honours degree in Computer Sciences with Distinction for her final thesis and a MSc in Strategic Leadership and Change Management from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
Andrew Joined Google in 2005 and manages the Agency Relationship Team based in Manchester. He is responsible for building and retaining key agency relationships within the Northern region and advises agencies on how best to grow strategic advertising revenue through Google platforms. He re-located from London in 2005 helping to establish Google’s second UK office in Manchester and works with some of the most advanced agencies in the UK.
Tom Cheesewright is the founder of applied futurism practice Book of the Future, helping organisations to see, share and respond to a coherent vision of tomorrow. Tom followed a degree in Mechatronic Engineering with 14 years in the tech industry, working with global brands such as BT, EE and IBM, and subsequently founded a series of technology-driven companies. Most recently he co-founded venture-backed big data analytics start-up CANDDi (http://canddi.com), of which he remains a shareholder.
Tom is a frequent presence on TV and radio, appearing as the resident futurist on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch and across the BBC from the Breakfast sofa to World Business Report, and as a regular contributor to 5live and Radio 4.

Mike joined the University in 2008 from Manchester Metropolitan University where he was the Internet manager, responsible for all digital activity. Prior to joining MMU, Mike spent a number of years at two national charities working on award winning fundraising and media relation campaigns.
Having started off her digital career client side over a decade ago, Arianne has worked for both agencies and brands in-house, specialising in all things paid search. She is now back agency side supporting on biddable media digital strategy.
A regular on the conference scene, she’s also an editor and contributor at popular site State of Digital.
David is Principal Lecturer in Digital Marketing & Enterprise at Manchester Metropolitan University, where he runs a number of digital communications programmes, and is also the Associate Director for Digital Innovation.
He is Course Leader for Manchester Met’s full-time MSc Digital Marketing Communications. He also set up their first part-time MSc in Digital Marketing in 2007, a programme that has now graduated nearly 300 high-profile professionals into the profession.
David founded Manchester Met’s Agency Life programme 5 years ago to enable students experience live work skills in the workplace very early in their course. He has enjoyed several spells in academia as well as senior management roles in the digital sector, and even helped to set up Manchester’s second web design agency back in 1995.

Aleksej is a senior lecturer, author and researcher in the area of digital marketing. He is also Head of the Advisory Board at SEMTA (Search Engine Marketing Trade Association).

Katrina is currently employed as Chief Executive of Marketing Cheshire, the Destination Management organisation for Cheshire and Warrington. Katrina has a strong marketing and business development background. She started her working life in the public sector at the Foreign Office before moving into marketing roles at Ogilvy and Cheetham Bell before taking Cheetham Bell into the WPP group to revive the J Walter Thompson Manchester office. Latterly in her own consultancy roles she has worked on projects for American Express and Unilever
Having worked in Digital for 16 years, Paul moved to PZ Cussons 6 months ago as their Digital Strategy Director, after calling The Co-operative Group home for the previous 5 years.

Jack has spent the past 11 years helping enterprise websites do technical optimisation, develop user engagement strategies, coordinate marketing channels, and using great (and not so great) content to turn browsers into customers. He's worked with market makers and challengers in ecommerce, travel, finance, luxury, and publishing. Today, he works at Forward3D, Europe's largest independent digital agency, as a consultant.
Erin has worked in the PR and communications industry for more than twelve years, formerly in consultancy working on a range of consumer, B2B and community clients, but for the past six years in the NHS.
She is currently Head of Communications and Engagement for two NHS clinical commissioning groups in Lancashire, where she also has portfolio responsibility customer care, patient experience, organisational development and equality and diversity.
An award-winning and CIPR Chartered Practitioner, she has served on the CIPR North West Group Committee for ten years, holding all posts including a three year term as Chair.
